The 11 out of 12 Streets Roulette Method

Hello everyone,

Last week, we have seen how one can increase one's bankroll quickly by betting one high unit on each 11 streets out of the 12 streets there are on a roulette table and leaving out one randomly selected street and by doing this for about 5 times.

There was a lot of interest on this method and I was asked if this could become a betting system for one to make profits consistently.  I could not answer this question right away before performing some research and analysis.  I have done so during this week and I would like to present you the results.

What I found was that one could accumulate quite a few units, which can help one to increase a certain bankroll on a short run, but playing the method continuously could also result in losses.

The optimized method requires some smart strategies and setting a certain threshold.  Now, we all know that the chances of winning by covering 11 streets out of 12 are 89% on a single zero wheel and 86.8% on a double zero wheel, as we are covering 33 numbers out of 37 and 38 respectively.  That means we have 89% chances to make 1 unit profit versus 11% chances to lose 11 units and that can happen any time, particularly if we keep betting.

By setting the right threshold, though, we can minimize the risk of getting hit with a loss of 11 units.

The first simulation I will show you sets a threshold of 2.  We come to the roulette table and we cover 11 streets out of 12 with 10 units on each street.  We place 110 units on the table.  When we win, we get 120 units back profiting 10 units per bet.  Threshold of 2 means we will do this twice.  If we win both bets, we will profit 20 units.  Then we bet only 1 unit on each 11 street and we keep on doing this until we lose once.  This last loss will cost us only 11 units and we started off when we were at +20.  We will also have the opportunity to see how many times we can win consecutively before we lose.

Now, if we lose on our very first bet, we will be down by -110 units.  The chances are very low (11%), but, of course, it can happen.  As a matter of fact, the longer we use this method, the more it will happen.  That's why I do not recommend it to use it more than 50-100 spins tops.

In order to understand the simulation below, let's explain some of the columns.

Sequence no. is the number of the spin.

Number is the actual roulette number coming up.

Street 1-12 is the number I gave to the 12 streets.  Street no. 1 are numbers 1,2,3.  Street no. 2 are numbers 4,5,6 and so on up to Street no. 12 being numbers 34,35,36.
So if say number 23 comes up, this is converted to Street no. 8.

Leave Out a Random Street is the number of the street based on the above definition, that we are not betting on.  We are betting on all the other 11 streets.

Win-Lose will be a "W" if the street we left out is different than the street that just came out.  It will be a "L" if we get a 0, a 00, or the street we leave out hits.  You will see this by having the same street number in columns: Street 1-12 and Leave Out a Random Street.

Count shows how many times we win consecutively until we lose.  When we lose, the count is reset to zero.

Units won-lost accounts for the number of units we win or we lose during this method. With a threshold of 2, we win 10 units if the count is 1 or 2, that is the first time we bet.  If we lose during that time, we lose 110 units.  After the count is 3 and higher, this shows that we have switched to betting 1 units from 10 units.  So units won/lost will be 1 unit when we win and -11 units when we lose.  After we lose, we go back to the beginning and start betting 10 units on each 11 street again, thus winning 10 units when we win and losing 110 units when we lose.

Net Profit shows the cumulative units won-lost.

To summarize the method, we start betting 10 units on each 11 street for two bets.  Should we lose at any time, we start over.  After two bets, we switch to betting 10 times lower to 1 unit on each 11 street and we keep on betting this way until we lose once.  After we lose, we start all over again with 10 units on each 11 street.

Here is the simulation.  Read the columns separated with one space in the following format:

As you can see, we win our first two bets as expected, giving us a profit of 20 units to
start with. Then we play with 1 unit on each 11 streets until we lose 11 units in
sequence 6. Then we start from the beginning with 10 units on each 11 street for
twice, getting another 20 units profit, switching back to 1 unit bet in sequence 9.
We lose again in sequence 12. We bet twice again with 10 units, then we switch
again to 1 unit bet in sequence 15. This time the counter shows that we win 30
times consecutively until we lose once. It is not unusual to win 30 times in a row
with this method.

The method performs well until we hit a loss of -110 units in sequence 82. After
we have lost 11 units in sequence 81, we were gone back to betting 10 units on
each 11 street and the street number 8 that we left out just hits. The 117 units
that we had accumulated so far goes down to 7 units.

The simulation continues for 100 spins, where 61 units are gathered. It is possible
to gather about 50 units easily with this method and this happens in sequence 20.
It is a good time to quit at that stage.
I tried various thresholds to see how the system would perform. A threshold of 4
gave good results. Threshold of 4 means to bet with 10 units on each 11 street
for 4 times until you switch to betting 1 unit on each 11 street.
Here are some results for a threshold of 4. Read in the same format:

Winning the first 4 bets gives us 40 units profit to start off with. Then we
switch to betting 1 unit on each 11 street until we lose. Then we go back
to betting 10 units on each street for 4 times and so on.
You can see in the above simulation that we hit a loss of 110 units in
sequences 69 and 73 and we were still ahead. Remember every time
this happens we start all over again with 10 units on each 11 streets for
4 times.
You can also see that after spin (sequence no.) 94 we start losing and
then the losses become unrecoverable after spin 100. That's why it's
good to keep this method on a shorter run.
For very conservative bettors, a threshold of 1 is also applicable. That
means you bet with 10 units on each 11 street only once, then switch
to 1 unit betting right away. The chances of winning once is quite high
(89%). We get a 10 unit profit to start with and then risk not more than
11 units. It could be a good proposition.

It starts quite well and works for about 40 spins. You just don't want to lose
twice in a row switching for 1 unit betting to 10 unit betting as it happens
in sequence 42.
If you noticed, most of our losses occurred as a result of a 0 or 00 showing
up. If you are OK with half the profit to be made while betting on 10 units
on each street, you may want to hedge the zeros during that time. On a
single zero roulette wheel, if you are using $100 chips for your 10 units,
your unit being $10, placing a $50 bet on the zero while betting 11 $100
chips on the 11 streets, will reduce your profit to $50 from $100 per spin.
But if a zero should hit, as it did many times in the simulation, you get a
profit of (35 X $50 - 11 X $110) or $1750 - $1100 = $650 instead of losing
$1100 on that bet.
It's harder to do that on a double zero wheel. You may have to use a higher
threshold value that will compensate for the reduced profits. Then you hedge
$35 on each zero, reducing your profits per spin from $100 to $30, but then
when or if a zero hits, you still profit (35 X $35 - $1145) = $80 for that spin.

Wishing you all the best,
Until next week,
Izak
